Owner Varun has been working in the accounting industry for years and after working as a salaried employee he saw the benefit of having his own business. He promotes the idea of working for yourself and entrepreneurship rather than working for someone else. He has taken the skills from his salaried job and learnt from working in large firms with strict rules. He has branched out and made a point to make personal connections with clients, rather than treating each client as a number.

Varun Arora – Director
A keen believer and doer, I have always stepped up and helped the clients grow their business. My Personal motto is to unleash the potential that many clients might are not aware of or are unwilling to take that “one risk”.
Business is always about taking calculated risks and learn and grow every day.
I took that risk by sacrificing my 9-5 job by starting out on my own. I saw the benefits in working in own business rather then building a goodwill for any other.
I realised that how important it is to not treat clients as a number but more like a whānau.
I have extensive experience in accounting and business advisory from working in chartered accounting, Legal and Commercial firms. The variety helped me to gain compliance and legal competence and I gained commercial acumen while working in the commercial space.
I graduated from AUT in 2008 with Diploma in Business (Accounting) and I am currently completing my CA qualifications.
Coming from India, cricket and food is first love. Love to travel and would travel when we can 🙂 (Thanks Covid) Love to keep myself fit and I try to hit gym 5 days a week.

Gurwant Singh – External Consultant
Gurwant came to NZ in 2006 and is a fully qualified Chartered Accountant. He has great technical expertise in Property Tax and is a certified xero advisor. He played cricket at prems level for Papatoetoe Cricket club. Loves to travel with his adorable family. For Biz Whiz, he advises on the potential tax structures where his expertise are needed.
